How New Mexico keeps its business records

All New Mexico business formations and other filings are made online through the Secretary of State's Business Filing System, which also lets anyone verify a certificate it issued. Business entity law is in Chapter 53 NMSA 1978, with LLCs under Article 19.

The public record of every New Mexico LLC and corporation belongs to the New Mexico Secretary of State, Business Services Division, whose search goes by BFS.
