Arizona business entities are registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission, not the Secretary of State (which handles trade names). After an LLC or corporation is approved, a notice of its formation must be published: the Commission publishes it on its own website when the statutory agent is in Maricopa or Pima County, otherwise it goes in a newspaper.
Filings in Arizona go to the Arizona Corporation Commission, Corporations Division, which keeps the official record (often searched as ACC).

|---|---|
| Active | The entity is in existence and current with its filings. |
| Pending Inactive | A corporation missed its annual report due date and has been sent a delinquency notice; it will be dissolved if it does not file. |
| Administratively Dissolved | The Commission dissolved the entity, for example for a missing annual report, fee or statutory agent; it may only wind up its affairs unless it is reinstated. |
